Takashina Machi (Mizuno) is a veterinarian who finds her life boring and is getting worried that at age 27, she is still a virgin. When she bumps into Hirota Takumi (Fujiki), she recognises him as her junior school classmate whom she had a crush on. She realises that she still likes Takumi and makes a decision to devote her 'First Time' to him.

An entertaining drama to watch as you follow how Machi and her good friend, Enamoto Yukari (Shinohara) tries to get close to Takumi. Mizuno is so pretty in this drama and she's so cute when imitating Bruce Lee. It's also interesting to see Fujiki acting such a useless guy, although it would have been better if he continues so. He's back to the yasashii character after a few episodes which is quite common in his previous roles.  Koizumi Koutarou (son of the current Japan prime minster, Koizumi Junichiro) debuted in this drama as the brother of Machi. Not bad for a newcomer. Oh, great theme from D.A.I.

Cast: Nakayama Miho, Nishida Naomi, Koizumi Koutarou, Sakai Wakana

Theme: "My faith" by day after tomorrow

On Air: FujiTV 2003, Oct 7 - Dec 16

The story starts at Shanghai where Nakamura Kaede (Nakayama) is on a trip with her two friends to enjoy herself before she will tie the knot one month later with an elite business man who is working in New York now. On the return trip, she forgot to take her wedding ring which she has left in a public toilet and when she rushes down to retrieve it and rushes back again, she missed the flight which her two friends have already boarded. When she finally get back home, she sees that a family who leaves next door is trying to run away from a loan shark. Knowing that there's a guy waiting downstairs who is waiting to catch someone who owe him money, she links the two together and decides to help her neighbour to escape. While escaping, she is forced into a van which has arrived to take the family away. When she woke up the next morning, she found herself in the middle of a glass patch right in Hokkaido. With her keitai eaten up by a horse (yes, a horse.), she is left with only her luggage. From then on, she tries to make her way back to Tokyo but she never get back home since there's always an incident in each place where she will meet someone who is in trouble, and being a kind-natured person, she will stay for a while to help the person. Even though, the person whom Kaede has helped will return her the favour by helping her to find transport to get back home or to lend her money, Kaede will never make it back to Tokyo and will instead travel from one prefecture to another. However, through the long period of traveling, she sees many people and learns to discover more about herself.

I have thought that this drama will be boring since I find that Nakayama is always putting on a sad face. However, this drama is quite good. Nakayama is quite cute with her innocent and kind-hearted nature and each episode normally left one feeling touched. It's also quite interesting to see Kaede's brother, Nakamura Manabu (Koizumi) and her two friends, Aihara Machiko (Nishida) and Akihabara Riru (Sakai) gathering at Kaede's home to wait for news from her but ends up drinking up all the wine at her home. I enjoy this drama a lot. Not bad! ^o^

Title: Hotman

Cast: Sorimachi Takashi, Yada Akiko, Konishi Manami, Saitou Shouta, Saitou Keita, Ichikawa Yui, Yamauchi Nana

Theme: "Together" by EXILE

On Air: TBS 2003 Apr 10 - Jun 19

A story on 5 siblings living under the same roof, all born from the same mother but fathered by different people. Furiya Enzo (Sorimachi) was a rebel when young but one day, when someone left a baby at his doorstep with a note saying that the baby is his, he soon turned over a new leaf working hard to get a university degree so that he can work in the government sector and gives his daughter, Nanami (Yamauchi) a stable life. Now a teacher, he takes on the role of a father not only to his daughter but to all his siblings as well.

Next in rank in the Furiya family is the eldest daughter, Shima (Konishi) who was asked to move in to stay with the family by Enzo 5 years ago. Always placing the family as her top priority, she takes on the role of a mother at home and helps out in bearing part of the family expenses with her OL job. The youngest daughter is Hinata (Ichikawa) who is always cheerful and a bit wagamama at times. Youngest of the siblings are a twin brothers, Haiji (Shouta) and Ryuunosuke (Keita) who moved in only 3 months ago after their father remarried and has a new child.

I simply enjoyed the whole drama! Sorimachi is so good as the eldest brother and father to Nanami. There's quite a good chemistry between him and Kaneko Misuzu (Yada), a medical staff in the school, who has an interest in Enzo. Yada Akiko is SO CUTE as Kaneko. And talking about cute, Nanami tops it all. She's just adorable, full stop. Another thing to watch out for in this drama is the real life twin brothers, Shouta and Keita acting as twin. I finally can differentiate the two thanks to this drama. I would say the casting is perfect if not for the fact that Ichikawa Yui is casted as the youngest daughter. Frankly, that girl can act? Anyway, a great drama with good theme song by EXILE.

The special was aired on 14 April 2004 and I'm just dying to get my hand on the special.
