Kazumi (Wakui) flies to NY to study jewellery designing despite her father's opposition. She ends up falling in love with a man and gets pregnant. However, she breaks up with the man (can't really remember the reason... I think the guy's married) but intends to raise the child on her own. When she receives a message from home that something happens to her father (again, can't remember the reason >_<), she flies back and met Kaoru (Sorimachi) at the airport. She asks him to pose as the baby's father so as to appease her father. Kaoru is a writer for a magazine and for the purpose of writing an article on single parent, he agrees to continue this pretence.
It's touching to see the father-daughter's bond and how the relationship between Kazumi and Kaoru grows closer. Quite a nice drama.
